Thoughtful design. It works great with LOW viscosity liquids (i.e. non-syrup). The invisible spout and folding mechanism is almost magical. When tilted, the pouring lid opens in proportion to the current angle of inclination and closes just as cleanly without spilling a drop. Although the product description states that it is syrup, this is exaggerated and therefore receives quite negative reviews. . These reviewers aren't wrong, but that doesn't mean it won't work perfectly for you if you make amends. The inner diameter of the spout is only about 1/4 inch. It's pretty tight. Maple syrup is too thick and flows out too slowly to be worth using. with sugar water, agave, honey etc. With this bottle and mix I no longer have to wash/wipe the dispenser before putting it back in the fridge because it really doesn't drip. Perfectly sweetened coffee, simple non-stick refrigerator shelf. While I personally use diluted maple syrup, the same can be done with sugar water, honey, agave, etc.
