Review on Kohler Frameless Aluminum Bathroom Medicine Cabinet, 20x26 Inch, Recess or Surface Mount, Silver by David Stewart

Quality Kohler product spoiled by poor mounting hardware and (in my opinion) false advertising as the surface mount looks very ugly and unfinished as on the Sides "glued" mirror panels. (Not exactly high quality and not ideal for high humidity bathrooms where IF the adhesive FINALLY fails and the side panel falls off you'll end up with a nice floor covered in broken glass. Just what you need when you get out of the shower BUT WAIT, that's not all! The mounting kit is seriously inferior. Since the cabinet is 20" wide and has a good attachment to the bottom support rail, GUARANTEE that Kohler will supply an aluminum corner rail for mounting, which the NORMAL LEGAL FRAME (16" centered). So your mount will be at least about 17" wide. But no. Instead, they bless you with an almost useless corner rail that's a whopping 10-1/2" wide. So can you support the whole weight of the cabinet (plus future content) with one side supported by drywall anchors (!) Ridiculous I had the materials, tools and time and skill to build a solid 17" header eg u build pitchers that really worked. AND YOU? , a very poor product from a company I just expected more from. Both of my bathrooms are now suffering from a few of these ugly (no side mirrored SECURITY panels) until I find the time to properly trim, redesign and reinstall them in the walls. Not quite what I originally wanted to do.
