Bought for my first DSLR (350d). For an inexperienced user, a great thing, after all sorts of soap boxes and smartphone cameras. There was nothing to compare with, therefore I don’t consider the fragility and the moving trunk and the focus ring at the very end to be a disadvantage, since I was used to it from the very beginning and did not complain. AF catches normally, which is 350d, which is 7d. Well, yes, it looks for a head longer than the others, but this is also reflected in the price tag. I photographed him for a little over a year, a dozen concerts, club parties and a stream of creative thoughts passed through his diaphragm. The only negative is that it is too tight for a crop. it is problematic to shove more than two people into the frame, but he draws portraits great. I’m buying a station wagon 18-50, but I won’t refuse a fix either. Also, the dimensions do not allow you to comfortably hold the camera by it. Some kind of finger will often fall on the rotating ring during AF (also more likely a nitpick). They can shoot video only with a pre-fixed focus, since even with manual adjustment, the built-in microphone registers the sounds of the rotation of the ring. An external microphone saves, but whoever has it, everyone has lenses that are more expensive. I don't regret the purchase one bit.
