Review on Optimize Support and Protection with πŸ’ͺ EVS Sports SB03 Shoulder Brace in Black by Brandon Henry

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality / Poor design / Consider sizing

After about a week of searching I narrowed my choice down to two suspenders - this was one of them. I went with this one because of the cheaper price and honestly it looks like a high end clamp. I ignored the sizing comments as this is a mixed bag. I'm tall, skinny, 38 bust and skinny biceps so I went for the medium one. When it arrived I put it on straight away to see how it fit. The first sign of trouble was the tightness of the arm sling that wraps around your bicep. As noted by many reviews, it is too tight in the arm and tends to rise into the armpit, restricting blood flow to the arm. I would also point out the likelihood of chafing and bruising on the underside of the arm and in the armpit. This is the biggest downside of the product in my opinion. Due to the stiffness of the shoulder part, the cross-shaped part of this orthosis is actually a simple marketing gimmick. Second, the chest strap barely wraps around my chest and attaches to the front of the brace. With a fairly tight wrap, I had a pull tight enough to attach the entire Velcro section to its front counterpart. This may be the intended design, but after an hour or so I found it quite restrictive. Overall I gave the product a 3 star rating because I really think the product is well made with quality stitching and very secure Velcro attachment strips. If you are dying to try this support I would suggest going up a size unless you are measuring towards the bottom of the size range. Perhaps a large brace would be more comfortable, but I will invest in a more expensive brace to see if it fits the design of a comfortable and stable shoulder.
