I bought these headphones for three reasons. First I read that the sound quality was very good. Second, I needed some sort of soundproofing for the work. Third, I wanted to use the button/microphone on my iPhone. I've been using IEM most weekdays for over six months, but a few annoying aspects of the product finally made me move on. The sound quality was satisfactory, but not outstanding. My Klipsch S4 headphones sound better, although I couldn't get a good fit with standard earbuds back then. I've since bought a pair of Shure SE215Ks which sound much better. Of course, the IEM's sound depends on a good fit, and (unlike the S4) I was able to achieve that with one of the included ear tip sets. Soundproofing is sufficient. It doesn't block all external noise, but it does dampen it enough that I can tweak it without having to turn the music volume up beyond a reasonable level. I was using IEMs connected to my iPhone 4S and the button and mic worked as expected (but more on that below). Now for the bad: I've seen in other reviews that the mic aspects of the cable are annoying. I can confirm that. Even the slightest scraping of clothing can be heard. I used these headphones while seated at my desk and even then the mic noise was intrusive. Just turning my head could distract me. And forget to go with them; Any significant movement rendered these IEMs inaudible. While the remote button works as advertised, it sits almost flush with the case and is very difficult to find by touch. I found this to be constantly annoying since I groped for it. Also, I found it difficult to double-tap to skip to the next track. Perhaps the biggest problem was one of the ear cups separating from the case. This happened when I took the earbuds out of my case and the ear pad fell to the ground several times. Worst of all, though, was when the earpad came off and got stuck in my ear! In this case, tweezers were required to remove the ear pad. Would I recommend these headphones to a friend? No chance. I think I've used them long enough to qualify as a chance, but in the end the mic noise, hard-to-press button, and loose ear pad eventually proved unbearable. I switched to Shure SE215K headphones and have no regrets.
