Since he was approx. I felt so guilty about giving him canned food even though I did my best and spent a lot of time in pet shops to get the ingredients sort to find the smallest crap. This is the first canned food I've been happy with and when you open the can it doesn't look like the typical junk with added thickeners and chemicals. It's like real chicken pieces in liquid and not in sauce. My dog doesn't like the rough texture since the meat isn't shredded, so I put it in a food processor with other veggies and serve it that way. I also make my own dog food with beef, veggies, and other added vitamins to feed him, and alternate between that and Against The Grain's chicken and beef flavors.
