This is my first safety razor. I chose this one because it had an extra grip on the handle. I didn't want it to slip off while shaving my legs in the shower. I've been using it for a few weeks now and am very satisfied. Of course there is a bit of a learning curve, like when I first started shaving years ago, but now it's going very well and even better than a traditional women's razor. To prevent rust, I partially unbolted the head assembly. so that all three pieces are still connected but spaced enough apart for air to flow through. I leave it on the bathroom countertop not in the shower as it may never dry there. Thinking about grabbing a razor before jumping in the shower wasn't a problem.
