The razor arrived today. The packaging was all good. However, once you see the top open, you'll find it inconvenient to remove the top just to add a blade. Opening the door works better. The stand is also well made, but designed for a larger barrel. The hole is so big that the razor doesn't want to stand upright but leans forward as if about to fall. It just doesn't make sense when you look at the quality of both parts.

This grip also holds well in the shower. The blade cover feels comfortable and the base is functional. The ability to glue the base or attach it to the surface can be an improvement. UPDATE: After a few months of use in the shower, the chrome finish has peeled off.

This is my first safety razor. I chose this one because it had an extra grip on the handle. I didn't want it to slip off while shaving my legs in the shower. I've been using it for a few weeks now and am very satisfied. Of course there is a bit of a learning curve, like when I first started shaving years ago, but now it's going very well and even better than a traditional women's razor. I really like the overall look of the razor. The long handle is perfect for the weight of the razor, well balanced in my hand. easy to hold especially in the shower. I have others who shave just as well but are a bit slippery when shaving in the shower. Overall a very good shave. I'm considering buying another one, it's just so you have a reserve in case I fall and damage the one I have.
