I use this as part of my smoking kit. I needed something to constantly dip cotton swabs in medicinal alcohol to clean part of the quartz bowl. The problem is that rubbing alcohol will evaporate if you don't have a lid. This top is easy to slip on and off and the alcohol will stay in over time. I've noticed a slight loss over time, but that doesn't compare to how quickly it dries up without a lid. However, this thing is SMALL. That's about half the size of a regular glass. This works perfectly for me because I don't need a ton of liquid at once, but be aware before you buy that it can be ridiculously small for your purposes.
