CATS LOVE IT AND I WILL NOT QUEST!

I bought my first frying pan of this model from a retail store. Because it was big and I was hoping while I was in the hospital that my husband would sift less often! I liked the top handle and the neutral color (no, I didn't buy the white/pink or white/blue). But what I like doesn't really matter, WHAT THE CATS LIKE IS IMPORTANT. Cats love this kitty pan. I didn't use the door because they didn't like it. When I put them in a pot with the door open, they refused to push to get out (and instead cried like they were being tortured!). If you start with a kitten, maybe the door would work. I recently decided to replace 2 of our 5 cat pans because 3 cats stopped using them for it. The ones I replaced were about the same size, and I used tall boxes to cover them so the cats had plenty of "headroom" (because the original lids weren't particularly tall). Our other two cat pans originally had tall lids. One stood on the back porch and was rarely used, while the other was smaller but had a high peak. Another cat pan, originally tall but smaller, was now also used very little. This soon had to be sieved more than once a day! (AND NO, I don't know what normal sized cats do in a cat bowl that they sit so high up!) BUT since cats are best to work with, I bought another one in this style (AND one from too JUMBO). Now 3 out of 4 of our frying pans from this brand! I wasn't aware that replacement parts (lid locks and door assemblies in different colors) were available until I saw them on Revain and that makes me even happier with the purchase. The only downside I found is that these are the first cat pans that didn't have a slippery bottom. In one of the places we have a cat pan, it needs to be moved (or awkwardly lifted). The bottom of these cat pans has a grid of raised lines (forming squares) that add rigidity and reinforce the bottom. I tape cardboard to the bottom as my recent back surgery made it difficult for me to pull it out to strain. Since I don't think many people have cat pans in a situation where they need to pull them out of their location, I'm not deducting a single star for lack of 'gliding'. On BOTH of two Catit pans. At this size, the latch on the right side is difficult to close. I haven't examined the pans closely, but I suspect there might be a small problem with the pouring. I'm sure they will "work" in timm. With the locks locked you can grab the cat's pot (heavy trash and all) by the handle, which I find handy at times.
