After trying several portable displays, I finally settled on this one. The picture quality is amazing and the form factor is great. It's very easy to take out of your pocket and set up while working remotely. In addition, the integrated stand design where it is not adjacent to the table makes it much easier to access the ports. I love this angled stand design. The only problem I have with the monitor is the firmware or software design. The brightness available on this display is amazing compared to others I've tried. Almost twice as much. The problem is that if you're trying to use a single USB-C cable to transfer video and power from your laptop, it limits the brightness level you can set it to before it requires a separate power supply and you need to connect second cable with power supply plugged into wall or power supply. Using only one cable for video and power is a very common feature of portable displays since most laptops can power both with a single cable, with the amount of brightness they can use being limited due to the laptop's power limitation. Because of this, the brightness of most portable displays reaches 200 or 300 nits. When using the display with a single cable, I found the brightness limit to be around 42% (which is more than adequate when working outdoors compared to other displays I've tried with a cable). 300 nits maximum) before the screen goes black and a series of steps are required to reset it and restore the image: you need to connect a second USB-C cable with separate power adapter, disconnect from the laptop, turn off the display , plug it back into the laptop and sometimes it takes a few tries before I get the picture back. This is very inconvenient, especially if you work in a coffee shop. My advice: the display should detect that you're not connected to a dedicated power source and limit the brightness level, which you can also adjust by simply using the laptop as the power source and not turning it off. Or at least revert to a lower brightness level when it finds that screen goes black after exceeding the threshold without having to go through all those extra steps to recover the picture. If they fix this, it would be the perfect wearable display! I hope they can do this with a firmware update. Regardless, it's worth noting that their customer service is nothing short of amazing! I needed an adapter to use the display with my iPhone and asked for help. They asked me to order an adapter and refund me the cost. Very cool!
