Build quality is the same (or better) than Smartwool but a lot cheaper. Make no mistake! It looks very soft and fluffy; I expect that will change judging by my other wool shirt which is a few years old (but still sturdy). I would say the weight of 190gsm makes it a three season shirt, although I sometimes wear it on chilly summer evenings. I would not recommend buying this gray shirt if you plan to be active in it. The sweat stains on this shirt are very dark. I like when I can jump off my bike and get into a social situation without looking sweaty. Black is the best color for this. I'm sizing between a medium and large US men's shirts. I usually take a size large because I like a looser fit, but since it's supposed to be a base layer, I went for a medium and it fits Well. The sleeves are quite long.
