I bought a 4 pack with hard drive and dash cam which supports 8. I bought this BC with talkback, LED motion light and artificial human intelligence. Parcel arrived faster than expected and in excellent condition. A few days later I checked all the cameras and ethernet cables very quickly (nothing to loosen, just plug and play). Everything worked great. I also set up my account so I can have remote access when installing. I recommend writing down your password and login information or taking a photo during installation so you can remember it. With all of this completed, I began preparing for the installation. I have vinyl spotlights so I decided to copy a great mounting idea from a YouTube guy. Basically, attach the camera to a piece of aluminum (3 inches x the length of each reveal). used a dremel to cut the length of each as needed). Also, you can move the camera as needed during installation before choosing a permanent location. So I got some aluminum, some extra bolts, nuts and lock washers (size 8) and 8mm sheet metal screws from the hardware store (once the aluminum bracket is finally in place, install one on each side to lock it in place keep). Would like to do it this way and paint the aluminum after all the mounting holes have been refilled. Measure, cut, pre-drill (to 11/32 if using #8 screws) and paint the aluminum. Attach the cameras to it. Then running the ethernet cables I already had a data crimp but I had to pick up some Category 5 connectors. The only issue I see with this particular kit is that the weatherproof ethernet connector does not mate with pre-made ethernet cables. They should already have connectors on one end. (See my photos) But it's easy to do it yourself, so buy a plug and a crimp from the store. Then cut off the existing connector, attach the protective cover, crimp again, connect to the camera and you're done. Overall, the installation was easy and went smoothly. All cameras work well, DVR works great. The operating system is quite intuitive and easy to use. You only need a mouse to navigate and it's included, so BONUS! I've put some photos up for you to look at. I didn't have to contact tech support but they did a great job of communicating from the moment I bought it just to let me know they were there when needed. I gave it 4/5 stars because I had to do extra work due to the weatherproof connectors and also the nut on the ball joint mount needs to be tightened really hard to keep it from moving which sometimes causes pain during installation. Otherwise I would rate it 5/5. I will give an update in 3-6 months.
