Review on πŸ“± Supershieldz (3 Pack) Anti Glare & Anti Fingerprint Screen Protector for MacBook Pro 13 inch Retina Display (Late 2012-Early 2015) by Jack Ford

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not "anti-reflective " at all.

Matches my MacBook Pro (Retina 13" Early 2015) very well. There are no problems with the application. It comes with a cleaning cloth that does a great job of removing stains, but you will need masking tape to remove dust before applying the protection. I noticed that the "anti-glare" properties are missing. Glossy screens have high contrast but bright, reflective highlights; matte screens have a diffuse glare due to the lower contrast on the display. This defender seems to represent the worst of the two. Reflections were reduced only slightly: I could still see my face on the display. The anti-glare coating of the standard display seems to win, the brighter reflections are washed out a bit as a result. Colors were severely washed out: black became only gray and the contrast decreased. Worse than any matte display I've used. Image quality and operability deteriorated in all conditions, indoors and outdoors. In the attached photos I have cut the protective film in half. The protector attaches to the left half of the laptop, leaving the unprotected screen on the right. I've also included a matte monitor for reference. In all cases, the displays are positioned to reflect the same moderately bright window. PS: I contacted Supershieldz and they refunded my purchase. Good customer service.
