Once I figure it out it's great

This was a new adventure for me as I just got an RPI of 4 for Father's Day. I set it up as a file server and had to get a UPS for that. For the price and the features it had, I felt this device would suit me. However, the images shown do not explain exactly how the connections are made between the UPS and the RPI. With a little help from other users, I was able to determine that I needed to connect the RPI's power connector to the UPS and connect the UPS to the RPI from one of the USB ports to the RPI's USB-C power connector. This caused 2 problems: I didn't have a short USB to USB-C cable and the power cable from the RPI was USB-C. The UPS has a micro USB port. I had to buy a USB-C to Micro USB cable and adapter. After getting all the details, I was able to connect the UPS. It's only been a few hours, but it's still working. I will come back in about a week to share my experience. October 20, 2020 - Well it's been a little over a week now but I'll let you know the UPS was working great until the blackout. This kept the RPI running, but it was my fault for forgetting to just switch back to powering the Pi, so everything shut down. I left it disabled and only use the Pi as a photo album. I would recommend getting a UPS and all the necessary cables.
