Review on Xiaomi Poco F3 Night Black: 256GB ROM and 8GB RAM for Enhanced Performance by Lorz Batan ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like everything, the quality is good and the price is reasonable.

In general, I spent 25k clearing customs after purchasing 6/128GB at launch (plus a separate case and protective glass). I almost went with the Poco X3Pro instead, but I'm glad I didn't. It's not a better camera phone, and it has worse cooling. The 6,000 dollar disparity between the two figures (25 minus 19) is also entirely reasonable in other contexts. Generally speaking, I would upgrade the main camera in the model, or at least include a wide-angle and a respectable telephoto lens.

Pros
  • The phone has a stylish AMOLED display, and its size is adequate, however it seems stretched out when held by a single hand. The 120 Hz rate is easy on the eyes. I didn't bring it for gaming, but the processor is robust and doesn't overheat. Although I have not yet put the main and front cameras through their paces in the real world, initial impressions are positive. Having a tiny hole in the display for the front camera is a great addition. Adaptable MIUI features. The embedded sensor in the button makes it easy to open with with one finger. Much better are stereo speakers. One can find an infrared port. Factory film playing on the screen. It appears to be sealed off from dust. Although 33 W is not particularly quick, it is still quite adequate for charging. A see-through casing is included.
Cons
  • Both the rear and front-facing cameras are just mediocre, and any others are purely for show. There is a sizable camera module at the back, which can be banged even while enclosed; it seems that I will need to purchase a protective glass for them. The double-sided SIM tray is a nice touch, but there's no slot for a microSD card. I have been using wireless for quite some time now, but there is no 3.5 jack output.
