I needed a table lamp that could either be mains powered or run on ordinary batteries. I do craft work that requires soldering of tiny workpieces, complex wiring, drilling, filing, etc. This LED light exceeds my expectations after using cheap LED lights which are usually under $10. bright; the gooseneck does exactly what it should and is easy to control. This lamp is exactly what I was looking for. For stationary use, the plug-in power supply saves battery power; If I need to move it temporarily, I can unplug it and place it where I need it without fiddling with the cord. It works well with rechargeable AA batteries. It is almost as bright as with fresh alkaline batteries. So I don't care how long a set of batteries lasts. I'll see if some LEDs stop working prematurely. I've been using it daily for almost two weeks and all the LEDs are still working. I will buy another.
