Linen or not. in the kitchen and dining room

. I expect a clean product when it comes to food storage. These bags were too soft to feel like linen, like they had been washed with fabric softener. When I washed them (by hand of course) the brownish substance naturally clouded the water and they had to be rinsed half a dozen times to get clean. As for storing fresh bread: the bread dried out within a day, leading me to suspect that some other substance was mixed into this 'linen' that absorbs moisture, because if I store my bread in a linen towel it's good for a week long. More suitable as a shoe bag.
