Finally figured it out

After a desperate struggle to keep this thing hanging on my window for over a month, I tried to return it but found it was outside the return window. So I started researching how to make this work for me because I really like the dimming effect it has on the room considering I work nights and sleep during the day. I looked at the suction mechanism itself, which had a plastic mold attached. I removed the plastic mold that I believe was included to prevent the suction tubes from deforming during shipping. After removing the plastic mold, the suction cup could easily be pulled directly onto the pane. Very easy with this small change and a perfectly darkened room. There are still small spots of light peeking out at some edges where the material isn't against the window, but the effect of these curtains on the room is great and the small spots of light are negligible in the overall picture. of things. Another minor complaint would be that there is no way to roll up or fasten these curtains in case you don't want to be blacked out, but that's a minor thing for my purposes. If you bought these curtains and are finding it almost impossible to get suction cups to hold them, remove the plastic backing!
