This is the best lightweight blanket as it is made of multiple layers of gauze material, very breathable, similar to those used to swaddle babies in warm weather. My body temperature rises sharply when I sleep. I couldn't sleep well because I needed at least 60 degrees in the room, but I also needed to feel the blanket on me. I woke up wet, hot, but also cold. After a lot of research I changed the type of bedding I was using. First I decided on a cooling mattress pad (Allrange Breathable Coolmax Quilted Mattress Pad). It doesn't have a dedicated "cooling function" other than the fact that what it's made of helps disperse the heat generated by your body. For the sheets, I chose bamboo sheets from Hotel Sheets Direct. Bamboo also helps disperse body heat. I added a "Because Silk" duvet - it also spreads your warmth. It is made with 100% silk fill and has a cotton coating. Lightweight and breathable, yet conforms to the contours of the body so there are no "cold air pockets". This is great for summer and if warmer/necessary they recommend using two in your duvet cover. For the duvet cover, I once again chose Bamboo from Hotel Sheets Direct. Finally, this beautiful lightweight muslin duvet is perfect to warm up/decorate a duvet a bit. The very first night of assembling all of these items on my bed was AMAZING. All the problems I had before have been fixed! I washed all the bedding (except the comforter) cold and tumble dried on low. All shrink a little. I have a full size bed and I bought a full size mattress pad and sheets, a comforter, a duvet cover and this queen size cheesecloth. I hope this review is helpful to others!
