My 9 year old daughter recently became interested in PC gaming like her big brother and asked her father to build her a PC for her birthday. Well, dad sucks when it comes to his little one. I was lucky enough to stumble upon this GPU just before the supply and demand situation got really bad. Paid a little more than I would have, but it wasn't outrageous. Put this in its turquoise FD case surrounded by 5 pink LED fans and it works great. She currently only plays Fortnite, Roblox and Minecraft, so the 1030 works great in combination with her i5-8400 and 16GB DDR4. Fortnite ran at over 100 fps on high settings, Minecraft ran at well over 150 fps and I never tested Roblox, but there were no crashes either. The other day she asked me if I would buy an RTX 3090 here and explained that dad only has 1030 money, maybe 1060 money. We're not RTX rich! If you're looking for a budget GPU for gaming or entry-level game emulation, this is definitely a good choice. Don't expect to be able to use it to play new AAA games at blazing fast frame rates.
