not waterproof at all. The kids have worn them in the shower several times and the bezel is full of water vapor and condensation on the glass. Shipping under warranty is not worth it as there is a $9 handling fee plus shipping. I have returned many of these watches with new batteries. So I removed the back cover to air dry. It dried well, but it was impossible to reattach the back cover with finger pressure. The cover has a cut out for the stem so it can only be reinstalled in one position. Somehow I had to use pliers with large steel washers against the front and back. I wiped the sink with a rag to protect the glass. Two pliers squeezed gently until they heard the back cover close. Then I noticed that the edge of the glass pane was cracked, no doubt due to my pressure. My fault but I don't know how else I could get back to my seat. So let the kids keep it away from the water.
