Well I was looking for a portable digital radio for travel and home use, I used to have a good quality Sangran brand digital digital radio but it suddenly broke. lower price when i stumbled across it. When I read and received the reviews I was very skeptical but from the start everything was fine and clear. The sound and speaker configuration are amazing. I have to say that I'm a bit savvy with electronics, so I don't usually need you to read manuals. But for people who need information the instruction sheet is almost illegible because of the fine print and that's a problem for a lot of people I understand this radio doesn't have a clock but it does have a sleep timer it uses 3 AAA batteries, that provide reasonable performance and long-term use. When you're not using the display, you can turn it off. I like that it has few buttons but with a few on/off functions. Quickly press the power button on the top left. The band button is used for AM, FM and SW, but to access the weather you must quickly press the WX button on the left, then press the up-down arrow to find your weather station, then it will stay tuned to that station unless you change the batteries and of course with many digital radios you will usually lose the preset stations unless with some radios you don't change the battery quickly all at once. On band it's crystal clear where I live and VHF is excellent. You can also extend the telescopic antenna for better reception on VHF, KW, WB. Am is addressed. Yes, there is a lock button to hold the station without changing it. Over the alarm or panic sound, you must press the weather button within 3 seconds. then emits a fairly loud beep. then let me tell you something about the bad. yes it is plastic and looks like a cheap 8€ transistor, the belt clip is also a bit tricky to mount and be careful if not mounted correctly, can fall off and falling is not recommended, light weight, no wrist strap I don't clear but i think fm is mono not stereo and sw haven't tried it but everyone knows it can be sticky and with such a small device an external antenna is recommended anyway, for all other bands you should come across. I recommend it for travel, home and/or hiking. Of course there are other better radios out there but based on the internal quality components I found in this radio I recommend it, I bought another one as the tuning and sound quality doesn't exactly match the looks.
