Compared to the Fujifilm Instax MINI 8, this Polaroid Snap camera performs very well. This is the size of a typical digital camera. So you can put it in your back pocket unlike Instax. But I'll admit the Instax is prettier, more like a traditional camera with better color options. But I think it comes down to more preferences. Snap uses zinc paper. So when the photo prints it looks like you printed it straight from the printer, not like an old-school Polaroid photo like Instax (also prints slower). The photos are smaller than instax but the zinc paper has a sticker on the back making it look like a sticker. Snap photos can be printed with a white border and can be printed in color, sepia, and black and white. But what I really like is that this camera can print with a photobooth option, so 4 photos in one print. And this camera has a micro SD card option, which is a plus for me. I usually give printouts to others, but now I have a copy for myself. The only difference I noticed is that SNAP works automatically while Instax has lighting options. And Instax at a cheaper price. Other than that, they work very similarly. You still need good lighting and your photos should probably be within 3-5 feet. * The camera can be used with or without paper, but without paper you need a micro SD card. ** The photo itself is digital from an SD card.
