Review on Unpainted Miniatures: Wave 9 - Star-Spawn Of Cthulhu | Pathfinder Deep Cuts by Joy Berry

Revainrating 3 out of 5

My first, legit Cthulhu figure!.

I just want to say first, I love Cthulhu and All the Lovecraftian and Eldritch monsters, the tales about them and the artwork inspired. This is also my First legit Cthulhu figure and I was really excited about receiving it. Ok, so the shipping box did arrive crushed๐Ÿ˜ง and part of the shipping tape was removed or came off in transit ๐Ÿค”, also the clam pack the figure comes in was also crushed ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. The figure itself is good, with some minor cosmetic and also structural imperfections that aren't really an issue but are visible. Like the gap on the top of His nose, left from adhering the tentacles to the face, almost as if you were able to remove them to install different types, like the tentacled "Forsaken" D&D/Lovecraft paintable creature/figure that comes with variant, swappable parts. But that is not what This figure is nor does. I do plan on painting it so maybe those gap lines will be harder to see with darker paint. Overall it's a good version of Cthulhu with some good detailing in the sculpt. Obviously the packaging isn't a big deal because it's for myself and the figure is not damaged. Maybe I will leave another review after I paint it!? That's All Folks!

Pros
  • Great
Cons
  • The lack of color and visual interest may make the miniature less exciting to display or add to a collection.
