I have a large double cab truck and 3 small dogs that travel long distances with me. Sometimes when I'm driving I don't want the dogs to be on the console or in the passenger seat because I'm using maps or using the seat to stow other items. I've only done one short trip with one dog so far and she's kept within the limit, but it remains to be seen what happens to all three dogs and some distance away. Installing the top was easy enough as it attaches to the headrest posts from one seat to the next. Installing from below was not easy. My truck seats don't have an easy "stand/post/space to attach straps to the underside of the barrier from one seat to the next. I had to squeeze into a gap on the floor and use one hand to slide the belt through the hole .while grabbing and pulling with the other hand.It was very uncomfortable.Once installed it seems secure.But if you don't put it on the bottom and top I might see a big dog or an ambitious little dog crawl through.Barrier I hope , it keeps because I don't want to put the same element again.
