These cutouts add a new element to the fun of owning a hot rod and are the funnest single car purchase I've ever made. In my state, they're banned outdoors on public roads, which means they're legal on private property. I open them every time we pull into a parking lot and at most car dealerships. I use an SBC with a Comp Cams 268 which makes a big difference in the sound of excerpts. They make the camshaft/engine sound much bigger and more radical than they really are. They also work well to discourage others from driving in close proximity to your vehicle as they require attention. They're easy to hook up, but the switch that came with it didn't look good in my truck, so I hooked mine up to a two pole double throw. toggle switch. Unfortunately, after about 1 week of use, one of the devices failed. After a serious diagnosis, I realized that the problem was in the device itself. I was able to experience how great the manufacturer's customer service is. Two days later I had a new/replacement block (for a small deposit) which they credited immediately after I returned the dead cut. I am very happy about their support. I'm glad they were professionally installed (behind my front wheels). These things are pretty heavy, and because they're installed in my car, they each bolt to the end of about 10-inch standard-cut tubing. The guy doing the installation added gussets to these support tubes to strengthen the installation.
