Review on πŸŽ₯ Epson Home Cinema 4010 4K PRO-UHD Projector with HDR - Immersive Home Theater Experience by Eric Pavelko

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Large green spot appearing on projected image after 3 months

The projector worked great straight out of the box and produced a well detailed image. Unfortunately, after only 3 months of use, the projector shows a large green spot on the projected image. The stain remains across all media sources and projector settings. Replacing the HDMI cable did not fix the problem either. The green spot is especially noticeable in dark scenes or when the source is letterboxed. I contacted Epson for help with a problem. I will update my review accordingly if/when they offer a solution. UPDATE 2/11/21 Epson support has provided me with a list of suggested fixes. After none of the repairs worked, I was ordered to send the unit back to exchange the repaired unit. The process was quick and easy (although it required a $1,200 charge on my credit card account, which was removed after Epson received the faulty unit). MULTIPLE green dots on the projected image. The main screen is at the very top/middle of the screen and is very distracting when viewing something in mailbox format. I'm downgrading the rating to 1 star. Customer service was good after an exchange, but I'm tired of playing roulette with repairs to get a machine that actually works like the $2,000 projector I paid for.
