This product works great with breath monitoring. Very satisfied in this regard. In addition, it is very easy to put on and the material is nice and cozy thanks to several layers of thick cotton. I wouldn't use it in warm rooms. However, the dimensions and design make no sense. My baby is about 15.5 pounds so I ordered a medium. As others have pointed out, the chest is already very cozy. It's not too tight at the moment, but it will be soon. The weird thing is that it has a whole velcro strap that is supposed to make the chest even tighter! why annoy There are two huge Velcro strips on the back for baby to lie on and an awkwardly placed Velcro side that wraps around. It looked so awkward and pointless so I redid everything and removed the velcro. On the back are open pieces of fabric that I can sew together. The zipper is also very chunky.
