These brushes don't rip or pull on my hair like the new boar bristle brushes. I lost a lot of hair and realized it started when I switched to a thin nylon boar composite that claims to be 100% boar. Real wild boar are very soft and have never broken or pulled my hair. So I went back to those brushes and Denman brushes. But I like these round stylings to lift and wave my hair. It's just the right circle.
