Wire break in insulation

I used this spool of speaker wire slowly. I'm maybe 1/3 way down the reel. The last few times I've used different lengths, I plug in both ends and the speaker doesn't play. So I need to remove the wire I just routed and check for continuity. Every time I find that one of the wires breaks under the insulation. Last time there were 3 breaks within 25 feet. I'm not happy with the cable at all.
