Review on 0590 7602 760-2 TRMS Digital Multimeter with Auto Range Detection by Testo by Wiktor ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Average quality, not a great product.

Well, what can I say . There are pluses, but there are also minuses in bulk. There is no mechanical switch - it's great. But a slow and very expensive multimeter. In terms of errors - no better than some Mastech thread for half the price. Unless Testo has an official piece of paper for this error, and this piece of paper gives the right to official measurements. The case for the multimeter is very expensive, you have to buy it separately. But everything will be cultural for transportation and storage. There is an adapter for a thermocouple, but no thermocouple itself. Any from any cheap multimeter will do. I've had one like this for a long time. An original Testo thermocouple costs almost a third of a multimeter.

Pros
  • Included in the State Register of Measuring Instruments, the possibility of verification in the measuring laboratory. The declared category of electrical safety allows measurements of primary (input) networks. Large display with readable numbers. Scale up to 6000 readings. "Analog" scale. The choice of modes is through the buttons, and not through the rotary switch. Silicone wire probes - do not melt from the soldering iron. Sealed housing, protective caps on the connectors. Automatic detection of AC / DC, automatic switching of the functions of an ohmmeter, continuity, diode test, capacitor capacitance measurement. There is a (purchased separately) case for a multimeter. There is an adapter for a thermocouple.
Cons
  • Braked as hell! One and a half to two seconds to determine AC / DC and select a range. The "analogue" scale is incorrectly labeled - the scale is wrong. The scale is 40 counts, and the range is 6000, that is, on the scale you read like 20 divisions, but in reality they are not 2022, but 3000. Confusing. There is no manual selection of measurement ranges. Only manual selection of AC/DC and functions. A set of current fuses costs about half the price of a multimeter - an atrocity. And they are special there - high-voltage, large diameter and length. And in general, too expensive multimeter.
