Review on AZDOME Hardwire Mini USB Converts Protection by Mariah Perry

Works well with AZDOME

Took a star for the instructions and the ground wire. The ground cable sucks. I cut off the end. Got 8 gauge wire, heater tube, solder to extend the ground wire. I installed through my jeep's firewall. Included in the fuse box, earth cable extended. I used a soldering iron to group the wires, a heat gun for heat shrink tubing over the connectors. Everything I think is necessary for the engine fuse box. However, in the cockpit (or even in the engine fuse box) it is easy to connect together and has rubber covers for connecting cables. (I chose to basically upgrade my connections because that's better and will never be a problem) It's easy to get past the firewall. Some tape and a wire hanger. Loading the wand firewall from the engine side. Connect the wires inside the cabin with tape, then pull them through. Connect to fuse box with fuse adapters. Ground the wire, connect and you're done. The cables have a certain length for laying in the car. I have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. I placed the camera to the right of the rear view mirror. Wired through the front to the A-frame, through the side to the firewall to the engine. Then the rear camera cable from the center of the tailgate to the left (drive side) down the side to the A-frame and through the front. A lot of cable is left over. In fact, I had to run the wire almost all the way to the A-frame along the same track.

Pros
  • Low Voltage Protection - built-in minimum voltage limiter protects car battery from discharging. When the car battery voltage drops to 11.6V or 23.5V, it will cut off the power supply, giving you enough power to start your car next time.
Cons
  • Not bad but...
