I bought this set as a base for a room makeover. I finally have other items (curtains, pillowcases, etc.) for the room and I opened the linen package to get everything washed and ready to use. The colors are great and the design is exactly what I expected. My only initial criticism was that the king size duvet was a bit smaller than expected (no big deal). Examining the ceiling, I noticed a brown spot about the size of a coin near one of the edges. I thought I accidentally soiled something unfolding the comforter, so I applied some stain remover and tossed it in the wash. After washing, I looked at the stain and noticed that the stain had actually gotten bigger. Hm? Upon closer inspection I realized that there was something underneath the fabric and indeed there were other smaller brown spots on the same square of the blanket. Underneath the largest brown spot was what appeared to be a bump. Now I was concerned that there were bugs in the ceiling. I made a small hole in the square to reveal a few black unidentifiable fragments that smelled like they had been burned. I have no idea what was in the ceiling. I suspect something got stuck between the layers during production. Unfortunately the return window is closed for me. I really hope that this situation will be resolved. I won't be using this comforter now and I have all the parts I need just in the box. Disappointment doesn't begin to describe this purchase.
