I chose this headset for private pilot training for two reasons: 1) It was cheap 2) I have a big head and the mic boom actually looked like it would last quite a while. I am very happy with this headset. It works just as well as the David Clark headphones my flight school has. I have no idea how this compares to Bose or Lightspeed headphones. However, after wearing them on my head for a few hours, they become uncomfortable and I need to relieve the pressure they are putting on my neck. won't be my long term headsets. But they are ideal for students or passengers who rarely fly.
