Review on HUAWEI GT 2 Pro Touchscreen SmartWatch Waterproof Bluetooth by Iori Yagami ᠌

Average product, you can do better.

I won’t complain about the smoothness of the animation - if you want to charge your watch once a week, you have to sacrifice something. Well, I'm silent about nfc. I used it actively on SM, now I pay by phone and okay. You will tell me "well, why the hell did you move from your favorite Samsung to Huawei?". Main reasons: 1. After six months of using a samsung watch, the battery lasts for 1.5-2 days. Terribly tired. Disabling heart rate monitors and other analytics, lowering the brightness does not help much 2. You need to carry a pot-bellied docking station with microusb with you. Qi charging is not supported by the watch (although the website says otherwise) 3. The watch often fell off the Huawei phone (2-3 times per hour). Although they immediately connected, this could happen at the time of an incoming call or message, unpleasant. You just then on the clock a minute later received a missed call notification. 4. I would love to switch to watch 3, especially titanium, but the price of 30-50k really cuts. My phone is cheaper. And the issue with the battery on the new watch was not resolved, even at this price. And I took gt2 pro for 16. Why am I complaining: yes, because it’s 2022, watches have been made for many years, why can’t you just peep the good moments from competitors and do the same? Well, or listen to the opinion of customers and finish the software. (do not hesitate, I will send all these comments to the manufacturer). Watches, especially smart ones, are not only a beautiful accessory, but also a functional one that makes life more comfortable. My verdict is this: If you came here to read about the watch before buying, my advice to you is: if you use a samsung watch, stay on it. If not only aesthetics are important to you, but also functionality, you will take a huge step back, like me. I think that a year is similar with this watch, I'll wait until samsung comes up with something with a battery and does something in the middle price segment (not as scary as active), I'll go back to them. Since this is more likely than Huawei will deal with the filling of the watch.

Pros
  • A short review from someone who moved from samsung gear sport, and before that was on gear s2: Positive points, there are fewer of them: Battery - finally, I stopped constantly monitoring it, you can sleep in hours without worrying Design - the watch is beautiful and comfortable. They look good on a thin hand, they sit tight, there is even a reserve on the strap. Titanium is light, sapphire does not scratch (unfortunately, I already checked it once, there are no scratches) Normal wireless charging - charges from any Qi charger, to be honest, and not like Samsung. I tried reverse charging from P30 Pro - it works. True, there are breaks through the native (!) Cover. Charges approximately 1% per minute. Monitoring - pulse, sleep - good, graphs are clear. SpO2 - overestimates a little, compared with a finger pulse oximeter Charging is very compact, even some can lose it. And finally, on trips, you can take one plug and wire for your phone and watch. Price - for titanium and ceramics from other firms, prices differ by 3-4 times. I take samsung as a guideline, but I just can’t digest apple.
Cons
  • Negative, sorry. Mostly concerns software that could easily be fixed. Notifications - you hold an unlocked phone in your hands and a notification comes to it, it will also come to the clock. Why?! I'm already looking at the screen, why are you vibrating! On sm, this is disabled. Not all application icons are displayed on the clock - everyone wrote about this. No quick interactions with alerts (like "Mark as read"). On sm - yes. There is no feedback from notifications on the phone - if you swiped the notification on the clock, go swipe it again on the phone. On sm - looks everywhere. An alert came, but you didn’t see it and didn’t raise your hand at that moment? Then you will not know that you have it hanging until you check it yourself. There will be no hints. There was also no indicator on sm until 2022, but they added it, thought of it. I understand that it was not originally intended to install third-party programs on this watch, but can I make it so that I do not have a need for this? Well put you at least a calendar. On sm, I often used the calendar, it was convenient there, but here it is not at all, I stupidly did not expect this. And I can’t install, because adding 4 games to the app store is much more important than a calendar or calculator. AOD - I'm happy that it is, the dials are normal, but why does turning on the screen by raising a hand turn off when AOD is turned on? Why should I compromise? Weather - on the Samsung, you swipe the main screen to the right, you see the current weather. You click on this screen and you see hourly weather and a week ahead. On gt2 pro you swipe the screen to the right and see the current weather. You press and nothing happens. To see the weather FORECAST, you need to go to the menu, scroll through and then you will see everything. Function on the bottom button - half of the functions do not need quick access from the button, since they can be accessed by swiping from the main screen. It's illogical. Inconvenient menu - three lines are displayed at a time on the screen. If you click not on the central one, the system becomes bad every other time.
