As an old lady, I never knew such a thing existed. All my life I had to find a way to patch cracks and holes before I putty. I now have a Filler Rope Backer Rod Roll and am very satisfied. I wish I had known that earlier. It's very easy to use. I tried putty that looked like rope sealant but it stuck to my fingers. Once I have it in place it stays there awaiting sealing. There are serious cracks and fissures in my foundation, mainly on the front and back porches. It won't solve my foundation problems, but it will help with all the bugs and bugs. These little creatures are everywhere in Southeast Texas. I order 3 sizes of this filler to make sure I have all the crack fillers I need. Some reviews didn't like the color. I don't care as long as he does his job. So if you want to simplify your repairs, this is EXACTLY what you need. I highly recommend it.
