I bought this to pump out the low ground near my foundation that fills with water during heavy rain. I put it on slabs of slate to keep it from picking up dirt and grass. Everything started great and prevented the water from stagnating even in heavy rain. I even recommended it to my brother for his basement walk. About 2 months into it it didn't start to pump, didn't wobble a bit. But once it was first started, it turned itself on as the water level rose. Now at 4 months old, regardless of the water level, it needs to be unplugged and plugged back in for it to start. But after it finishes pumping for the first time, it won't start again without turning off the power.
