I bought this because my girlfriend's dog is on the verge of death and I wanted to give my girlfriend tangible memories. She always has a great Christmas tree so I figured it would be the right gift. The instructions are simple (and in multiple languages); However, the plastic cutting circle is MUCH large for a Christmas decoration: see photo. What I did was roll out the dough and use the large glass lid to separate the circle from the roll. I also used letter beads to write the dog's name and a paw charm. I pressed the letters and pendant in place while they dried, then pulled them out and sprinkled the ornament with metallic gold. I then used super glue to replace the letters and tag. Another idea is to press a dog's paw into the rolled out dough and then use a sharp knife to create a different shape, such as an octagon.
