I was a little hesitant to get this piercing as I wasn't sure how it would fit. It's PERFECT for my nose including 6mm length and gems on top. It looks just like the photo! The screw cap was a bit difficult to insert and secure, but with the curved hemostats it was easier than holding it with your thumb. The large jeweled top was also easier to grip with the index finger and thumb. Screwing in with a mirror takes some getting used to. 18g internally threaded piercings are hard to find and even harder to insert and screw in the top gem! 16g isn't much more and I'm so glad I bought it! I hate the nose bones, the L shape and the screws because I have very severe allergies and it is physically uncomfortable to blow out of a tube with this piercing all day. I lose them often too. I've had it for three days now and I still love it. With the big, flat end of this piercing in my nostril, blowing my nose is so much better! I also made sure the top of the gem was still screwed tight as they sometimes loosen a bit over time. It's easier to check the 16g as it's slightly larger than the 18g. But the jewel top is still dainty enough for me. :) You will not be disappointed with this piercing!
