You need to punch the perfect size hole to get the tip of the wick through, which can be tricky. Once you understand this, you need to keep the wick upright after pouring the wax. I created a crazy magnet to keep the base of the wick straight. If you don't pour enough wax, the bottom will protrude greatly and the candle will wobble. Also, there are always shallow indentations at the top of the candle because the mold needs to rest while the wax cools and hardens. There's definitely a learning curve, but it's cheap so you get what you pay for.
