The tick is incredibly loud. If I leave it on the coffee table or bedside table, my cat will always play with it and knock it over. If I'm working in a quiet place, I'll hear ticks too, and I'll get attached to them. This is very annoying. Also, his time tracking skills are unreliable. I've set it to match the time on my phone about once a week since I've had it (about 2 months) and it's always been 5 minutes behind. In this regard, if you set the time and put the dial back in place, the minute hand will return about 2 minutes. Therefore, set it 2-3 minutes in advance. Plus 5 minutes late = 7-8 minutes ahead, but it's not worth it because you still have to calibrate it every week! It looks very cool for the price, but that's where the attraction ends. Only the 2nd product review I have ever left. This is a purchase I definitely regret.
