I love these belts and this is the fourth I have bought. I had black, anthracite and olive. I wanted a brown shade and got it in prairie color. The belt that arrived looks exactly as shown on the website. It will look great with jeans and pants of brown or khaki color. I love these belts. If you need to know: 38mm width is 1.5 inch width. It's actually 1.496 inches, to be precise. MADE IN THE USA! HIGH QUALITY NYLON STRAP. ANODIZED AIRCRAFT ALUMINUM. I usually wear a 33" waist in jeans and pants and I usually buy 36" leather belts. I ordered a medium length which is 38 inches and that's what came. They need a little extra length to accommodate thick shirts and sweaters. Please note this is a lightweight belt not designed for hanging tools, holsters etc. There is a double thickness option for the duty belt. This nylon is about the same thickness as most nylon belts and about the same thickness as my military belts. The width is wider than my other belts and fills out the loops of my jeans and chinos much better. This strap can be tightened a little or loosened a little if needed, which is not the case with straps with holes. Oh yes, you can cut it shorter and melt the cut nylon webbing with a butane lighter or flashlight to keep it from wearing out if you want it shorter. Don't jump to conclusions that this is for survival, climbing, or hard work. Inside is a label that reads "not for climbing". While I'm sure it will support my weight with no problem, it doesn't have the necessary reinforcements to ensure that. I don't know why some people think it's for survival, nothing in the description indicates that. In an emergency, it is an excellent tourniquet. Can be used to wrap something or someone. I'm sure there is a use for it, just like any nylon or leather belt, but some reviewers have suggested (not from the description) that it's a survival tool! No, it's a great belt. I love them and recommend them.
