The following is for installation on a 2016 Jeep Wrangler JK Sport 2 Door (low and high beams, fog lights, turn signals) are excellent and very bright. - Construction : The cases that housed each light felt solid and well-made; However, the production possibilities described below make me doubt their long-term reliability. The time will show. - Installation/Wiring: In short, it was a nightmare and the instructions were marginally helpful at best. 1.) The instructions say to check the light before connecting the white DRL wire to the fuse box. My headlights didn't work properly until they were plugged into the fuse box. 2.) Unclear instructions regarding backup. I was able to connect the white wire to the M6 fuse which was originally 20mA and change it to 25mA as instructed. To do this, I had to make a small notch in the fuse box's plastic casing to avoid pinching that wire. 3.) Fog light plugs do not fit to standard wiring harnesses. As a workaround, the fog lights come with a connector that fits into the fog light terminals and has bare (red and black) wires on the other end. This involved cutting my stock wiring harnesses and connecting the (red and black) fog light wires directly to the (orange and black) OEM wires. Since this car is more of a toy for me and is generally covered in dirt, it doesn't bother me. However, if it was a new car that I was spending over $40,000 on, I'd be pissed if I had to cut off the OEM belts. 4.) Luckily the headlight connectors fit the standard wiring harnesses, but more on that in the last paragraph. However, one of my real headlights did NOT match the jeep properly! On the back of each headlight are three rectangular cutouts that fit into similarly shaped slots in Jeep's plastic light bucket. It's hard to describe in writing, but the perimeter of the rear of one of the headlights was an inch or more too large to accommodate all three cutouts. Again I had to pull out the stock Dremeling bucket to make sure the headlight was secure. Again, I would be very upset if this were a new car. 5.) If you mount the turn signal halos at the same time, like I did, this will require additional cutting and splicing. I had to connect the white wire (DRL) to the halo on the turn signal (that was the red wire in my case) as well as the yellow wire (the turn signal) to the actual orange turn signal (that was the white wire in my case). 6.) In general, the wires seem quite fragile. I used a crappy ton of duct tape and about 15 feet of 3/8" auto tubing. You may also need to purchase an extra wire to connect the left position lights to the right wire that connects to the fuse box. I needed that too an extra wire.Length of wire to connect to my fog lights which were farther away due to the aftermarket bumper - OPERATION - BIG MISTAKE!My Jeep's headlight control, located on a lever on the left side of the steering column, has three settings: Off, parking lights and low beams, high beams are activated by pushing the lever on the dashboard, and fog lights are activated by pulling the end of the lever Unfortunately, this product changes the operation as follows: - cut-off setting = halo and high beam (incorrect) - parking light setting = halo and High beam (incorrect) - low beam headlight setting = Halo and low beam (correct) - F adjust high beam = halo and high beam (correct) - fog lights = halo steady and fog lights come on when switch is pulled (correct) Note Turn signals work properly, halos flash orange; However, the halos only light up when the parking brake is applied. This product comes with a black EMC marked device that connects the headlights to the OEM wiring harness. I suspect that this EMC unit is not properly designed for the Jeep JK, but I'm not sure. I'll contact the manufacturer to see if they have any suggestions and update this post with their response.
