Review on Black Sony WI-1000XM2 Wireless Behind-Neck In-Ear Headset/Headphones with Mic and Alexa Voice Control for Phone Calls - Industry Leading Noise Cancellation by Hassim Rambli ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good product, but having its own defects.

Well, so-so on trifles, the LDAC codec disables their much-praised DSEE HX technology. The audio delay is still present despite the fact that the transmitting and receiving device has BT 5.0 version I will edit this review and rating if things go better or worse. : Senkh Momentum's ear cushion fit perfectly (it is shorter and has a jumper to limit the waste (!) from the ears falling on the sound guide mesh)

Pros
  • I find the "shaft" form factor to be very convenient. Excellent sound quality, , but only via BT, something is wrong with the sound, as if the headphones lose 50‰ of quality. Good reception range (breaks through 3 walls at home) Google Assistant is a pretty useful thing if you learn commands, for example, you learned how to rewind recordings of broadcasts by brute force and here's how to do it "REWIND N minutes forward" - rewinds N minutes BACK if there is a reserve. Scroll forward N minutes - rewinds forward as it should.
Cons
  • But there is a whole cart of shortcomings, which has not been corrected since the previous generation, and even somewhere they made it even worse. 1. (Here I wrote about the fact that discharged headphones do not work on a cord, and I was wrong), make it a rule to carry an OTG cord with you, so that in case of a sudden discharge you can "light" them in 10-15 minutes of a smoke break from power supply of the USB connector of the phone, you can really listen to music for another hour and a half. 2. Almost all earphones of this type have vibration for notifications, but these do not 3. When connected via a cord, the headphones lose their headset properties. But I hope that this will be fixed (yeah how) 4. Ears quickly get tired and start to hurt, and also itch. I hope this is temporary. The reason is banal, the headphones do not let air through 5. An inconvenient remote control, why was it taken out separately on a wire at all? 6. With all the shortcomings, they put up an insane price tag. These headphones are priced at 10k.
