Why rate doorstops? Have you bought doorstops in the last few years? Most of them are too short and narrow-minded. They are all rubber and sit high enough to get the job done on 95% of doors. Wall brackets are a thoughtful addition that we appreciate. We have just brought home two kittens who love to play outside and in front of our doors. Noticing that often one kitten is behind the door and reaching through the hole near the hinges to reach the other, the kitten behind the door will push them enough to narrow the hole. Given the potential (and likely) damage to a paw/leg going through an opening, all (all) of our interior doors now have these doorstops in place. We tried to buy a few from our local big store but found they wouldn't move, didn't stand high enough, etc. After I bought them, my biggest problem was getting my husband to open the bathroom door support opening. Exit. The kittens are now safe from this potential hazard (especially when we are at work and not watching them) and luckily my husband has realized that I'm not (mostly) crazy and acquiesces. When something as (seemingly) as simple as a well-made doorstop can prove to be so useful, others need to know about it.
