Does the job! I made the mistake of not getting my feet wet right away before and after putting on the booties, so I kind of had to "start" the exfoliating process by peeling off the pile and leaning over the tub, haha. I would say that this protection is not for those with little patience as the flaking pieces don't always fold into large, satisfying pieces. But my legs look a lot better, a lot smoother! :))
