This is a good thermal if you're looking for something to take the edge off the cold. But they're a bit flimsy, so don't expect to only use them for winter camping under your core pants; I wish I knew they have a product hierarchy (base-extreme). I ordered a medium size and immediately noticed that they are a bit baggy, like old school long underwear BUT they are comfortable. I like the overall shape (especially around the ankles), I think I would have liked the smaller size better. I usually wear a size 8/10. The belt is tight and not necessarily comfortable, but not uncomfortable either. If you think about functionality, that's fine; You don't want to constantly pull on your basic pants while trying to do other things. I would give it 3 stars for the fit but other than that I'm very happy and won't be returning because they will work fine but if I buy more they will be small and probably a few steps above their product.
