Review on 🎧 FARO G2-PNR Premium Pilot Aviation Headset with Mp3 Input - Black by John Roberts

First off, let me say that I'm a novice pilot and haven't tried the more expensive headsets out there. That being said, I can't imagine needing more than this headset. Comfortable and quiet, it even allows you to plug in your favorite MP3 player and listen to music during the flight. Two things I want to highlight about this headset; 1. It came out of the box a little tight for my head. After a little careful bending, it fits perfectly. I recommend leaving it stretched over its own box, it really helps keep it from getting too tight. 2. Do not expect great sound quality from your MP3 player with this headset. The resistance of aviation headsets is quite different, so your music will be a bit "tinny" and rather quiet. The good news is that you won't have a problem listening to an important radio call, and since the headset handles cabin noise well, the muffled audio is still audible, at least as much as the "background music" level. I connected my itouch 4 and set the volume to maximum. The sound of the music is a little quieter than we would like, but tolerable. I'm not sure if they did it on purpose or not, but you don't risk missing important radio traffic because you're listening to music. The noise-cancelling mic seems to work fine, but I need to turn noise-cancelling on. more than the old set i used, to prevent my conversation from being "cut off" at the beginning. Radio and intercom traffic is very clear on these headphones. Highly recommended.
