I hate giving dealerships their cheap plastic frames their name on them for free. I was looking for something simple but elegant that would stand up to the weather. That fits the bill. It's highly polished, not chromed, but that's ok. Matches the rest of my car. I really wish it had a slightly matte finish because it literally looks like a mirror and will blind people behind you from the right angle. It's not a super thin piece like others I've seen at the auto parts store. I measured it with a micrometer and it's 0.035 inch or 0.95 mm, about 2/3 the thickness of a dime (0.53 inch and 1.35 mm). Thick enough for the purpose and made of 304 stainless steel, it is durable. Contrary to what was said on the other poster, 304 stainless steel is NON-MAGNETIC and will not rust. I explained this in response to her post. Comes with screws (which turned out to be too long so I reused my original screws), screw caps and a screwdriver. Everything you need. Cute! I only gave it 3 stars for safety because it's just a step up as only one screw holds it because the screw has a cover but what is a license plate protector frame? Don't let this account fool you. I give 5 stars overall.
